WE NEED YOUR HELP

Dear FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND SUPPORTERS;

We hope this letter finds you well, and that you and your loved ones continue to be safe during this pandemic that has disrupted our everyday lives. While the world around us has changed and we find ourselves in unchartered waters, Bethany Place continues to serve the women and children that need our help, as that is what we’ve been called to do.

For over three decades, Bethany Place has been a beacon of hope for the women and children that desire to escape the cycle of abuse. In that time, we have helped over 1,200 women and children trapped in abusive relationships and traumatic life situations events to develop healthier habits and learn the skills necessary to transition to healthier, safer and happier lives.

In addition to being a transitional home for women and children, we have an emergency food pantry that has been serving at-need families since 1989. As you can imagine, recent events have caused an increased demand on our inventory and has nearly depleted what we have in stock.

As you know, Local Emergency Order No. 2020-02 was issued last Thursday forcing us to cease operation of our Christian Bookstore and Thrift Store, which was a large portion of our revenue for our ministry. Without that source of income, we now rely on the charitable contributions of our supporters.

As always, we’ve been blessed by the benevolence and generosity of those within our community to continue our mission of helping the needy. That need for charitable contributions has increased exponentially in recent weeks.

With that being said, we’re hopeful that leaders of industry, community leaders, religious organizations and residents within the community that we live and work in are willing and able to help the women and children of Bethany Place and the at-need population that we serve.
